Challenge 3: Video




1) Video record your work and state why you have chosen these materials for your boat in your video.

2) Some points to note when presenting your boat:
  • Ensure that everyone in your group presents 
  • Ensure that your boat can be clearly seen/captured in the video
  • Ensure that you label/present the parts of your boat clearly so that viewers can follow, as you identify the material

3) Your video-recording should include the following points mentioned:

a) Identify the materials you have chosen for your boat and classify which category of materials it belongs to.

b)What material property does each material consists of?

c) How does the material property affect the function of the boat?

d) Explain why you have chosen these materials particularly and what helped you in your decision-making? (E.g. Trial and Error, Tests)

e) Demonstrate and test out your boat in the tub of water and under strong winds (classroom fan).

f) (Optional) What you have your learnt through this experience of making a boat with your peers together ? Did you enjoy boat-making with your peers?
