Example 1: Ms Usha Making a boat


1) The above is an example of how your boat can be made. You can either use this as a guide to help you make the boat with different materials.

Example 2 : Picture of different types of boats (a) - (e) made with different materials


(a)  Boats made with juice cartons, wooden stick, construction paper.

(b)Boat made with wooden cloth peg and staws.



(c) Boat made with plastic bowl container, straw, blue-tac and construction paper



(d) Boat made mainly with straws and some paper.


  (e) Boat made with bottle, rubber band, cork, straw and paper.



2) You are not restricted to make your boats in this form. Your boat can be made differently from the above with a variety of materials as shown above. You are not allowed to copy the exact boat made of identical/same materials as shown above. However, you can adapt some ideas from the pictures shown above. You may use your own materials if you have brought additionally to construct your boats.


3) Brainstorm what properties of material you would like your boat to consists that enables it to function well.
